About us

to the holiday farm “L’ Arrocco di Turicchi”, surrounded by the nature of the Montagna Fiorentina (Florentine Mountains).

We offer hospitality in our farmhouse, located in Turicchi, in the municipality of Rufina, just a few kilometres from Florence. You will be welcomed by the owner in an atmosphere of simplicity and cordiality. The fortunate position of our farmhouse will give you the chance to easily reach Florence, the Mugello and Casentino areas, the “Foreste Casentinesi” national park, and other cities of Tuscany.

Our farm is located in Turicchi, in the township of Rufina, within the territory of the Chianti Rufina; surrounded by the green hills around Florence, at about 300 meters above sea level, is part of the area of the Montagna Fiorentina. The company is a family business and our products are cultivated in the respect of traditions and environment. Our plants are mainly vines and olive trees. We produce “Chianti Rufina D.O.C.G.” grapes and extra virgin olive oil.

Florence with its art and history is only one hour from our farmhouse, giving to our guests the possibility to spend a full day in the city before returning to the tranquillity of the countryside. Florence is not the only place to visit within short distance from us: trips to the territory of the Montagna Fiorentina, Mugello, Valdarno and the Casentino can be a good alternative, with the possibility of visiting churches, castles, museums, Etruscan archaeological sites and natural parks; information and details about the attractions are available at the farmhouse. For trekking lovers there is a path passing by our farm that connects with the path of the mountain ridge leading to the source of the river Arno (the same that flows through Florence) on one side and toward the Pratomagno mountain chain on the other some paths are accessible for mountain bikes as well.

The area where the farmhouse is located is rich of gastronomic offer that mix old Tuscan flavours and specialities of the nearby areas of Mugello and Casentino. Particularly interesting are the popular fairs of Cantine Aperte (last Sunday of May), the Bacco Artigiano (end of September), the Toscanello D’Oro (first Sunday of June) and “Festa di San Pietro a Turicchi” (last Sunday of June). At the “Arrocco di Turicchi” you can taste typical dishes of the Tuscany cooking tradition, of the Montagna Fiorentina and Mugello, all prepared with local products and our own production extra virgin olive oil. You will also have the chance to drink genuine local Turicchi wine or other wines like D.O.C.G Chianti Rufina, Chianti and Tuscanian I.g.t. For guests that are passionate about cooking we can also organize cooking classes with typical recipes of our area.

This is the weather forecast for the upcoming days in the area.
